As I stand on the threshold of Doon Writing this seems like looking from the top of a
International School, a flood of memories long staircase with each step an evidence of the
overwhelm me. The incessant talks, affection and journey of my school life. Journey, from the day I
scolding of teachers, fun matches, friends lost entered the school gates, apprehensive and timid,
and won, the countless incidents and people that the day when I managed to lose my way back to
were a part of this journey, hold a special place my class, the day when I was punished for not
in my heart. doing my home work. I cannot forget the day
The school is not merely a school to me, it’s a when I gave my first public performance or the
place where I entered as a gullible child and I’m day when I became the monitor of my class, the
passing out as a sensible, mature and confident man. This institution has moulded day when I won my first medal and finally the day when I became the Head Girl
me into the person I am, the one I am proud of. This couldn’t have been possible while least expecting it.
without the efforts of my teachers and wardens. I can’t thank them enough.
As I bid adieu, a word of advice for my juniors is to be fearless. Be fearless in the Learning is an integral part of life. The more one learns, the more they are
face of adversity and have the courage to follow your heart and be yourself. motivated to learn, to become better. It is rightly said, “Once you aim for
Chase your stars while you still have time to grow and learn. perfection, you realize that it is a moving target.”
School is not just a place but ‘the people’. The people who make the whole

journey worthwhile and I’m happy to have spent my journey with 'my people'.
So, as I head forward in my journey towards perfection, I wish to see my Alma
The people who stood by me through it all. I know years later when I’ll be an old

man sitting in a chair, going through the old pictures, someone will ask me who
will see the same love and affection, understanding and compassion flowing in its
