Narrating A Digital Story
A well captured picture is worth a thousand words. Over the centuries people have gathered around campfires, over meals and in other places to tell their stories and
these gatherings have become central to the shaping of cultures and communities. In more recent times, some people have lamented that the art of story telling has been
lost amidst the rise of different technologies. Perhaps there is some truth in this but, at the same time we may say that it's just the way we tell stories that has changed.
Digital photography is one such medium of narrating stories.
The students of Riverside Campus are great storytellers. They manage to find the best stories in the vast 30 acre campus during the Photography Club sessions. The
adroitness of these upcoming photographers is not just limited to the four walls of the Photography room but goes even beyond the Riverside Campus. One may come
across these brimming buddies in awkward positions trying to capture the beauty that surrounds them. They are guided and mentored in their endeavours by the school
photographer, Mr. Sachin Bhatia.
Many of these young Riverians carry dreams of being in the list of World's famous photographers in the coming times. With this in mind, they constantly gather useful and
helpful information on a variety of photography subjects during their photography classes. From portraiture to landscape, nature to candid moments, the students display
their talents in all spheres. Their skills are further honed by participating in various competitions where they get an opportunity to explore and widen their horizons.
